About Polygon Labs
Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the AggLayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the AggLayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.
Your Role
As the Events Strategy Lead, your role is instrumental in connecting the stories of our community & ecosystem with our global events strategy. You will:
- Act as an industry expert, staying informed about key voices, trending topics, and relevant events in the industry
- Develop an engaging event programming strategy by leveraging deep industry knowledge, Web3 culture insights, community passion, and tech expertise
- Lead the speaker management life-cycle, including outreach, content review, placement, onsite coordination, and post-event follow-up for virtual and in-person events
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Developer Relations, Solutions, Business Development/Growth, PR managers, and Leadership teams to craft impactful Polygon Labs events
- Support Polygon Labs' Events team in managing small to large-scale event marketing initiatives, including over 80 activations annually, such as online hackathons, developer events, and technical conferences
- Develop event content strategy aligned with company goals and mission
- Manage internal staff attendance at events inline with event strategy and desired output
- Own the programming and speaker outreach, coordination and selection for all Polygon Labs external events.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and the top voices in Web3
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling, industry-relevant content for internal events
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Polygon Labs’ network to identify potential speakers for conferences, roundtables, and livestreams
- Work closely with internal speakers to refine their talks and presentations, ensuring alignment with event objectives
- Lead content reviews with internal committees, providing constructive feedback on presentations
- Develop clear and concise communication strategies to ensure speakers are well-prepared and equipped with the necessary resources
- Establish a strategy and process for identifying, preparing, and managing speakers for both internal and external events
- Implement a system to track and manage past, current, and potential speakers
- Develop a tailored content strategy for external conferences, adapting to the unique needs of each event
What You'll Need
- A knack for crafting stories and presentations
- Events experience, working with speakers on conferences or external-facing events
- Deep understanding and knowledge of Web3 and the topics and the voices that the industry wants to hear about and from
- A knack for organization and bringing people into the process with clear visibility into your work
- A creative mind who likes bringing new ideas to existing projects and continuously pushes the team to try new things
- A love of bringing people together, working with people outside of your team and outside of the company
