What We Do:
Our reserve trades cryptocurrencies across centralized exchanges (CeFi) and decentralized exchanges (DeFi). Our team has a background in high-frequency, quantitative trading and we create trading strategies that leverage automation. We are looking for a developer to take ownership of our centralized trading platform and expand our institutional offerings.
How We Do It:
We use a variety of technologies: C++ for areas that require high performance and Go primarily for other services. We use Python sporadically, and NodeJS when required for specific integrations.
In addition, we utilize (MySQL/PostgreSQL) SQL, Redis, Bash, Linux, etc. Generally, we try to use whatever tool is best for the job, without letting the stack grow too complicated.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Team Lead / Trading System Architect to join our dynamic team. In this senior role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of our trading systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance trading solutions that meet the evolving needs of our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Architecture Design: Lead the architectural design of complex trading systems, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce latency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform architectural decisions and drive innovation.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment to maintain high standards of system reliability.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation to support system development and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 8 years in software development, with at least 5 years focused on financial trading systems and 3 years in a leadership or architectural role.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in backend development, particularly with high-concurrency, low-latency systems. Experience with financial trading technologies and distributed systems is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage complex projects, and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Familiarity with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and caching solutions like Redis.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of financial markets, trading mechanisms, and regulatory requirements.
- Additional Expertise: Background in blockchain or cryptocurrency trading systems is a plus.
