What you’ll do as a Junior Operations Analyst at Akuna:
As a Junior Operations Analyst, you will collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, as well as external counterparties and exchanges, to ensure smooth day-to-day operation of our trading business. The role is comprised of daily task work but is dynamic and will provide opportunities to learn more about the trading business. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic with an interest in financial markets. In this role, you will:
- Work in a fast-paced environment with daily interaction across multiple teams including compliance, finance, business development, and trading
- Provide real time support and research for new initiatives
- Liaise with both internal and external parties such as brokers, clearing, and exchanges
- Maintain daily process, documentation, and fee rates in support of trading
- Manage trader onboarding and offboarding from an operational and registration standpoint
- Lead onboarding and KYC for broker relationships
- Maintain monthly market data reporting obligations
- Perform monthly cost analysis and reporting to internal lines of business
- Update documentation of processes and procedures
- Proposes and implementing ways to improve processes
- Provide ad hoc support to projects and additional administrative support to teams as needed
Qualities that make a great candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- SQL experience or desire to learn SQL
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills – with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Highly motivated, with an ability to take initiative and work independently
- Collaborative and flexible in a team environment
- Proactive problem-solver capable of identifying issues and generating solutions

In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act, the minimum base salary starts at $70,000. Exact compensation offered may vary based on many factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skill set. This role is also eligible for a discretionary performance bonus as part of the total compensation package, in addition to the benefits listed here: https://akunacapital.com/our-culture#benefits.
