BlockTech is a fast-paced algorithmic trading firm facilitating global cryptocurrency trading while expanding into regulated markets. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are looking for a System Engineer to join us amid our exciting scale-up phase!
What will you do?
-Take the ultimate responsibility for our enterprise infrastructure and drive innovation.
-Build and maintain a highly available and scalable core production setup, enabling everyone to do work efficiently and securely.
-Take care of the performance monitoring of shared services and optimize their performance, stability, and uptime.
-Research new technologies and solutions, implement them, or build better.
-Fix and analyze technical incidents and solve technical ad hoc problems.
-Lead our charge to intelligent automation.
-Mentor other engineers and potentially take on a leadership role.

-Above all, a passion for open-source and GNU/Linux-based software solutions
-3+ years of working experience as a System Engineer or similar profession in a Linux/Unix environment
-Experience as a lead or mentor of a team is desired
-A natural curiosity about hardware and software, and how these interact
-Solid coding skills in Python with a knack for automation
-Experience with Ansible
-Experience with Terraform and AWS is a plus
-Strong affinity with Workflow tools for developers like Gitlab and Spark
-Knowledge of virtualization, networking, and IT security
-Quick at analysing issues and uncovering their root causes
-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
-Proven ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systems
-A positive, can-do attitude and a creative mindset

-Fluency in English (written and verbal)
