As a Ruby developer in the Integrations team, you will bridge the gap between app development and customer support.
This role focuses heavily on maintenance. Our users are able to pull the financial data from over 900 exchanges, wallets and blockchains, and the list keeps growing. A significant effort is required to provide a good user experience on such a scale.
The role may have occasional on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems under an SLA
- Develop new integrations and improve the quality of the existing ones
- Monitor and resolve application errors
- Add support for new data formats
- Provide technical expertise to colleagues from customer support team
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining software in Ruby language
- Experience integrating third-party services and RESTful APIs
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent data analysis skills
- Able to make pragmatic decisions in complex, ambiguous situations
- Good written and verbal communication in English

This is the most decisive part of your tenure at Koinly. You will be assessed on your technical skills and how quickly you are able to become operational. A good benchmark is to try Koinly out yourself, if you have a hard time understanding what it does then things will not get any easier. After all, we expect our users to be able to do their taxes with Koinly in under 20 minutes. An interest in DeFi is a major advantage.
