About the role
The Executive Director will lead Paxos' business efforts in Singapore by overseeing local operations, providing strategic guidance and engaging in high-level executive discussions. They will drive partnerships, enhance brand awareness and develop innovative solutions within the financial ecosystem. Additionally, they will stay informed about industry trends, collaborate with cross-functional teams and serve as a thought leader in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency regulation within the region.
What you'll do
- Lead local Paxos employees, serving as an escalation point and providing strategic guidance to ensure the successful execution of operations and projects.
- Develop and drive the regional strategy as a member of the local entity's board of directors.
- Develop and execute effective marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, customer engagement and market penetration of Paxos’s product lines.
- Drive business development initiatives, identify partnership opportunities and establish a strong presence for Paxos in the Singaporean and broader Asian financial ecosystem.
- Develop and manage executive-level relationships with regional partners and vendors, including banks, financial institutions and technology organizations.
- Partner with our Product and Engineering organization to develop and introduce innovative solutions to address regional customer demands, aiding in the transition of the region's financial infrastructure towards a regulated blockchain system.
- Stay abreast of developments in the financial and regulatory landscape, providing insights and recommendations to the global leadership team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, growth, technology, and operations, to ensure seamless implementation of business plans.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven track record of leadership in a senior role within fintech or digital asset technology companies.
- Experience engaging local and regional regulators across Singapore with a good understanding of local regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Strong board-level engagement and strategic decision-making experience.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, execute marketing strategies and lead cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
