Platform Summer Intern
Pantera Capital is the first U.S. institutional asset manager focused exclusively on blockchain technology. Pantera launched the first cryptocurrency fund in the United States when bitcoin was at $65/BTC in 2013. The firm subsequently launched the first exclusively-blockchain venture fund. In 2017, Pantera was the first firm to offer an early-stage token fund. Pantera manages $3.3 billion across three strategies – passive, hedge, and venture – and has backed 110 early-stage token projects and 100 blockchain companies across various stages. Pantera is seeking a Platform Intern to help build out resources and tools to support our 200+ portfolio companies across the blockchain industry. The ideal candidate will be able to pick up new skills quickly, operate with ambiguity and unstructured data, and work cross-functionally to drive outcomes for the team.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop a repository of resources that assist portfolio companies in areas like fundraising, business development, go-to-market strategies, and daily operations
- Plan, organize, and execute networking events, roundtables, webinars, and conference activities for portfolio companies
- Drive initiatives to scale internal investment processes and platform operations
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal tools and databases
- Curate and develop both short-form (social media) and long-form (articles, blogs, reports) content spotlighting our portfolio companies, their milestones, and industry insights
- Conduct deep dives into industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential investment themes
- Facilitate regular catch-up calls with founders, gathering feedback and understanding evolving challenges
While some projects will be scoped out in advance, the Intern will have an opportunity to develop her/his own projects and collaborate with the team on new ideas.
Sample Projects
- Developing an investor database to support the fundraising process for portfolio companies and market analysis to identity funding trends
- Organizing a portfolio / industry networking event and panel discussion on a topic related to blockchain company building
- Researching products / tools / services to expand our curated resource database for portfolio companies
Qualifications
- Strong academic background at a highly ranked undergraduate or MBA program
- Exceptional verbal/written communication with prior content writing experience and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledgeable and passionate about blockchain/cryptocurrency technologies
- Must be a self-starter who has proven ability to cultivate relationships within a team and in an external-facing setting
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills
- Bonus: 1-3 years in consulting, financial services, data analytics or comparable role at a high growth tech company
- Bonus: Experience with automation tools (e.g., Zapier) and CRMs / Data (e.g., Affinity, HubSpot, Salesforce, Airtable)
