ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a senior user-focused, technically skilled, hands-on IT Senior Engineer to support and optimize our internal tech stack, ensuring that key applications (including Jira, GitHub, N8N, Google Workspace, etc) support efficient operations across all teams. This role requires someone with good system administration experience, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
Success in this role means empowering users to succeed, creating seamless workflows, increasing the usage of AI and automation and ensuring the tech stack enables operational excellence.
You will work closely with Software Engineering, Security, and other business teams, configuring and improving tools and enabling teams to work productively by resolving issues promptly and proactively improving processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and support the configuration, administration, and optimisation of the internal business application stack, including workflows, permissions, integrations, and reporting.
- Ensure tools meet user needs by gathering and prioritising requirements and implementing solutions that align with business goals.
- Manage, improve, and evolve AI tools and AI-driven workflows that support internal operations, support processes, or productivity use cases.
- Build, improve, and maintain automations across internal systems to reduce manual work and increase efficiency.
- Develop and maintain user guides, FAQs, and training materials to ensure all teams understand and effectively use tools.
- Act proactively to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks in existing tooling and propose improvements before issues escalate.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3+ recent years of proven experience in IT business support, SaaS administration, and internal tooling optimisation, with a track record of enhancing workflows and productivity.
- Expertise in permissions and reporting management, API keys, service users and managing Atlassian workflows.
- Proficiency in our stack of tools (Jira, GitHub, N8N Google Workspace) with the ability to customize and improve functionality.
- Awareness of CI/CD practices and interest in leveraging AI to improve support processes.
- Experience integrating and automating workflows using AI, automation tools, CI/CD processes to improve efficiency (experience with N8N)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- A proactive, self directed working style suited to a remote first company.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.
Nice to Have
- Basic coding or scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Familiarity with MDM tools or device management.
- Understanding of security best practices, including identity management, access controls, and audit/monitoring workflows.
- Experience creating automated workflows using tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, N8N, Zapier, or any other CI/CD systems.
- Ability to contribute to AI-driven automations, prompt engineering, and process optimisation using tools such as OpenAI, Copilot, or Cursor.
- Knowledge of blockchain ecosystems
- Experience with ERP/CRM platforms.
