Role Overview
The Senior Quantitative Strategy Analystwill work within the Corporate Strategy team to support the development, communication and execution of high priority company objectives while working collaboratively with all business teams and departments.
As a Senior Quantitative Strategy Analyst, you’ll be expected to demonstrate strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with an analytical and data-driven approach to each challenge. This role blends quantitative analysis with business impact, and is critical in providing insights that support and define our direction as a company.
Duties and Responsibilities
The job will include but is not limited to the following responsibilities. Note the duties may be altered from time to time in the sole discretion of Cboe Global Markets.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor movements, and industry developments to inform strategic initiatives and highlight growth opportunities
- Gather, process, and manipulate structured and unstructured data in a wide variety of formats (Excel, text, csv, databases, json, web scrape, etc.) from diverse sources to create management dashboards and graphical visualizations of the data.
- Synthesize this data to generate insights, identify trends , and provide actionable recommendations for our Executive Leaders on key business initiatives.
- Maintain these data models and pipelines to support continuous data collection and analyses, and uncover trends and insights over time. Provide periodic updates to our leadership team on key developments.
- Build quantitative models (e.g., predictive, financial, etc.), merge and manipulate data, conduct statistical analyses, and design and test hypotheses
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Data Analytics or Data Science, Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline in a quantitative field
- 5-7 years of experience in a field requiring strong analytical, quantitative and research skills, e.g., data analytics or data science, or consulting role ideally within financial services industry
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or other programming languages, with experience in data visualization and analysis (e.g. Sigma, Tableau)
- Ability to translate complex data sets into business insights to create a consensus for decision making; experience combining quantitative analysis with business impact
- Quick learner and self-starter with the ability to multi-task effectively and independently within a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage priorities and deadlines across multiple projects, and structure analysis and output.
- Experience in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $121,550-$150,150. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time. If you live in one of the following areas or if you work in a Cboe office in the following areas, the range may be higher according to the geographic differentials listed below:
US Geographic Differentials:
- 110%: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA
- 115%: Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA
- 120%: Boston MA, Washington DC
Within the range, individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
