The Opportunity:
As a Trading Operations Specialist on the Custody Operations team, you will monitor and support products and services relating to Bakkt’s institutional custody platform for digital asset markets. You will work closely with our Risk, Security Engineering and Blockchain teams to monitor, support, plan, and test Bakkt’s proprietary systems.
Responsibilities :
- Provide front-line real time monitoring of Bakkt digital asset custody systems and support to all Bakkt institutional custody customers
- Produce daily periodic operations and risk reports, surveille custody systems, document and update internal procedures, and record customer queries
- Monitor the health and usage of all systems and counterparties and escalate high priority issues to appropriate personnel
- Onboard and train new customers and resolve customer issues on an ongoing basis
- Resolve system anomalies by understanding proprietary custody and back-office support systems
- Provide operational feedback and enhancement requests to development team for Bakkt internal systems
- Provide quality assurance testing of new system functionality and support ongoing tests of system back-up capabilities
- Perform back testing to improve custody system functionality and performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, or 2+ years of equivalent practical experience with trading operations, crypto, or technical role
- Must be able to independently operate and make decisions in complex situations
- Very strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong understanding of risk
- Strong technical skills
- Must be self-directed and be able to work within a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, professional telephone manner
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under stressful situations
Preferable
- Understanding of distributed ledger technology, specifically public blockchains like Bitcoin
