As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be involved in the entire web development lifecycle (design, development, deployment, and support). Together with product, design, and engineering stakeholders, you help translate our vision into scalable and performant web solutions that delight our customers.
Your daily adventures will include
Be involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle (design, development, deployment, and support)
Develop features and improvements to the Finst trading platform in a secure, well-tested, and performant way.
Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders within Engineering (Frontend, UX, etc.) to maintain a high-quality standard in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity.
Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
Recognize impediments to our efficiency as a team ("technical debt"), propose and implement solutions.
Participate in troubleshooting product, security, and other urgent engineering issues.
Confidently ship moderately sized features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects.
Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate Engineers on your team to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers to their autonomy.

Preferred Experience
What you’ll need to be successful
Significant professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and modern Web APIs.
Deep experience with modern UI libraries/frameworks (e.g., React, Solid, Vue) and component-based architecture.
Professional experience with other technologies like: Node.js, CSS Modules, Jest, Webpack/Vite/Rollup, Lighthouse, Playwright.
A big plus would be experience in developing hybrid mobile applications using Cordova/Capacitor/React Native, as well as building native modules in Java/Kotlin and Swift/Objective-C.
Experience with state management, API integration, and performance optimization.
Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems.
Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility.
Proven ability to design scalable frontend systems and maintain clean, maintainable codebases.
Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions.
Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process. Ability to thrive in a startup organization.
Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a fast-paced work environment.
Effective communication skills: Regularly achieve consensus with peers, and clear status updates.
Experience owning a project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution. Self-motivated and self-managing.
Demonstrated ability to work closely with other parts of the organization.
