Job Purpose
The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for leading complex credit analysis and underwriting activities across the credit investment lifecycle, supporting high-quality decision-making and risk management.
Operating with a high level of autonomy, the role drives detailed credit assessments, supports deal structuring, and contributes to the continuous improvement of credit processes and data-driven underwriting approaches. The role acts as a senior individual contributor, providing guidance to analysts and ensuring consistency and quality of outputs across the credit function.
Working closely with the Senior Credit Analyst Team Lead, data, and product teams, the role ensures that credit insights are robust, comparable, and aligned with the venture’s risk framework and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Deal Structuring Support
- Collaborate with the deal structuring team to analyse borrower data and support the design of lending structures, including loan terms, collateral, and cash flow considerations.
- Provide analytical input into negotiations and structuring decisions, ensuring alignment with risk parameters.
Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Management
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of borrower performance post-disbursement to maintain an accurate view of credit risk and loan quality.
- Identify early warning signals and emerging risks, recommending appropriate actions where needed.
- Support the development of portfolio-level insights through aggregated analysis and trend identification.
Data, Systems & Process Improvement
- Work with data and product teams to define key credit data points and improve data-driven underwriting processes.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal tools, models, and systems supporting credit screening and monitoring.
- Support the standardisation of analytical outputs to ensure consistency and comparability across deals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across credit, product, data, and operations to ensure alignment of credit processes and outputs.
- Present credit analysis and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support junior analysts through informal guidance and review of analytical outputs where required.

Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, or related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CFA, ACA, or similar are desirable.
- Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- Typically 5+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or risk evaluation.
- Strong experience in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and deal evaluation.
- Experience working with credit data, financial statements, and borrower analysis.
- Experience in emerging markets, private credit, banking, or credit brokerage environments.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including data and product.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously on complex credit analysis tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present insights to non-credit stakeholders.
- Familiarity with DeFi protocols or digital lending environments is beneficial.
