Openfort is a wallet and payments infrastructure platform for verticalized fintech products on stablecoin rails. We're building in-person from Barcelona.
The Role
We're hiring our first Forward Engineer — a polymath who sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and go-to-market. You'll be close to customers, uncovering new workflows and opportunities, while also being technical enough to prototype solutions and shape how we build. This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves variety, and wants to help define what "forward" looks like for Openfort.
Some things we're working on
- Be the technical face of Openfort with prospects and partners: demo our products, run proof-of-concepts, and help customers unlock what's possible
- Stay close to customers to discover new workflows, use cases, and opportunities we haven't thought of yet
- Partner directly with founders to craft and execute our go-to-market strategy, from refining ICPs to experimenting with pricing and positioning
- Translate complex infrastructure and crypto concepts into clear, compelling stories — across decks, docs, workshops, and community posts
- Gather feedback from the field to shape our roadmap and ensure we're solving the most valuable problems
- Help build the playbook: set up our early CRM, outreach processes, and technical enablement content
What you should have
- 2+ years of experience in technical sales, solutions engineering, developer relations, or as an engineer eager to move into customer-facing roles
- Strong technical foundation (comfortable explaining APIs, infra, or crypto basics) with the curiosity to dive deeper as needed
- Exceptional communicator — you can adapt from detailed technical calls to high-level business discussions
- Scrappy and entrepreneurial: you're energized by ambiguity and love wearing multiple hats to build something from zero.
Nice to haves
- You've built your own tools and automations
- A history of writing or speaking publicly: blog posts, talks, community leadership
- Familiarity with CRM tools, early-stage sales ops, or growth experiments
- Contributions to open source or side projects that show initiative and passion
