About the Role
21Shares is looking to hire an Accountant to join our rapidly growing finance team in our New York City office. In this role, you'll play an integral part of our tight-knit and collaborative team, providing essential support to ensure smooth financial operations. This position provides a great opportunity for growth and hands-on experience at a rapidly growing global company.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis and monthly deliverables
- Work with AP for cash reconciliations in ERP system
- Prepare supporting documents for external audits and examinations
- Own accounting and process documentation for areas that may include revenue, cash, fixed assets, prepaids, and month-end accruals
- Prepare/review fund financial statements, coordinate external audits and periodic regulatory filings for the funds
- Prepare technical accounting memos and documentation of accounting policies in ordinance with IFRS/US GAAP
- Ensure complete, accurate and timely revenue and revenue share reporting, booking and analysis.
- Account for fund related trust expenses
- Support tax reporting and filing
- Support financial analytics and product profitability analysis
- Support fund business partner due diligence and periodic counterparty risk assessment.
- Maintain up to date risk assessment and internal control documentation
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies for areas of responsibility
- Support FP&A
- Support other ad hoc special projects and requests
Qualifications
- 1+ years of accounting or audit experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
- Possess excellent attention to detail, organizational, problem solving, and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Able to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines
- Team player with a positive attitude and open mindset, not afraid to roll up your sleeves and work in a dynamic environment
- Experience working with NetSuite a plus
- Experience working in financial services/asset management a plus
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP’s, and other office products
- An interest in crypto currencies
(NYC only) Pursuant to Section 8-102 of title 8 of the New York City administrative code, the base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $115,000. Total compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
