Reporting into the Commercial Director EMEA, the position will focus on supporting both sides of our marketplace (1) proactive and sustainable lead generation for the Business Development team, as well as supporting high-value partnerships with businesses and influencers in key UK early stage and growth business ecosystems including the likes of startup accelerators, entrepreneurs clubs, law firms, accountants and others via marketing activity, (2) driving investment through the platform via engaging content for our existing platform investors, showcasing exciting investment opportunities.
Success will be measured by an ability to establish marketing activations and campaigns that deliver:
- Quality leads of founders of Seed - Series C businesses looking for equity finance.
- Support in converting and nurturing leads through the full marketing funnel.
- Generating investment on the platform from new and existing investors..
- Increased visibility of Republic Europe in key market segments and growth areas.
- Leading on events activity that support investor acquisition and investment generation targets.
We are looking for a proactive and natural marketing person, with proven ability at building lead generation marketing campaigns in a sophisticated market.
Candidates must be able to clearly showcase their track record of delivering these kinds of results, keep leveraging existing relationships, developing new ones and offer innovative ways forward. We are a growing business, so candidates should be entrepreneurial, flexible and solutions orientated.
What you’ll do
- Lead cross-channel marketing strategies for fundraising startups to generate investment and awareness.
- Deliver marketing activity that performs against clear marketing KPIs including investor acquisition and Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).
- Work collaboratively with the Republic Europe business development team and portfolio team, ensuring marketing strategies are aligned and executed effectively.
- Plan, manage and analyse marketing strategies, to develop new and engaging messaging.
- Improve the Republic Europe lead generation marketing funnel including first touch points, nurture flows and supporting materials (e.g. presentation slides).
- Build on existing robust reporting mechanics for tracking marketing value, and ensure relationships and activity are diligently recorded in Republic Europe’s Salesforce CRM and Looker Dashboards.
- Work closely with the rest of the Marketing & Business Development teams to create collateral and messaging in support of the Republic Europe proposition.
- Organise and deliver the day-to-day marketing activity such as email marketing campaigns, eventbrite creation, social media posts, blog articles and guides and asset creation.
- Oversee, nurture and expand existing marketing activity for our partners.
Our ideal candidate
- 3-5 years experience in marketing, preferably in a B2B role
- Proven experience of generating leads via marketing campaigns and activations.
- Experience using CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
- Ability to deliver marketing materials via the relevant software, such as email marketing campaigns (e.g. Mailchimp, Pardot, Stripo), events management (e.g. Eventbrite), social media posts, basic asset and slide designs (e.g. figma, Google Slides), guides and blog articles (e.g. Wordpress), webinars (Zoom).
- A can-do attitude in supporting the business’s core goals: investor acquisition, investment generation and revenue generation.
- Proven experience of liaising with partners and working collaboratively to support partnerships.
- An entrepreneurial and commercial mindset.
- A belief in the value-creating potential of early-stage businesses.
- A highly organised individual with great attention to detail.
- Fluent in English.
- Someone who can be in the London office min. 3 days per week (we operate a hybrid working environment but most teams are in Tues-Thurs)
- Preferred but not essential: experience marketing at an FCA-regulated organisation.
