The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of Paxful’s platform, including mobile applications (iOS and Android), web interfaces, and backend APIs. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to create and execute test plans, automate critical workflows, and ensure seamless user experiences. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with testing tools, and expertise in at least one platform (mobile, web, or backend) with a preference for cross-platform knowledge.
What will you do:
- Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases for mobile apps (iOS and Android), web applications, and backend APIs.
- Collaborate with developers to identify, document, and resolve bugs and performance issues.
- Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to validate new features and ensure platform stability.
- Review API responses and workflows to ensure backend integrations meet requirements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines by developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Participate in test planning and contribute to improving QA processes and frameworks.
- Test native mobile apps for iOS and Android, including UI/UX, functional flows, and device compatibility.
- Validate web-based features, ensuring browser compatibility and responsive design.
- Test backend APIs for performance, scalability, and correctness using tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Ensure issues are logged, tracked, and resolved using tools like Jira and Confluence.

Requirements
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.
- Experience testing mobile apps (iOS, Android), web applications, or backend APIs.
- Proficiency in at least one testing framework or tool.
- Examples include Selenium, Appium, Postman, or similar platforms.
- Experience writing and executing manual and automated test cases.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Kotlin is a plus.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD workflows preferred.
- Knowledge of RESTful API testing tools and processes.
- Ability to test backend systems for data consistency, performance, and error handling.
Recommended Skills:
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Experience with cross-platform testing frameworks like Detox or Flutter testing tools.
- Knowledge of mobile development frameworks or platform-specific tools (Xcode, Android Studio).
- Understanding of blockchain or cryptocurrency systems, although not required.
