Your mission:
As the Senior Product Manager for Payments, you will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of Bitpanda’s payment systems. You’ll lead efforts to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and global reach of our payment solutions while delivering a seamless customer experience. Your expertise will ensure that Bitpanda continues to offer world-class payment services aligned with our vision of making investing accessible to everyone.
What you'll do:
- Take ownership of the product strategy, development, and optimisation of all payment systems across fiat and crypto, including deposits, withdrawals, and on-platform transactions.
- Define and execute the roadmap for payment solutions, integrating open banking capabilities (e.g., instant payments, payment initiation, account information) and modern payment technologies.
- Analyse, understand, and implement diverse international payment methods, including SEPA, SWIFT, card payments, direct debits, and regional alternatives.
- Lead strategic initiatives to expand and optimise partnerships with banks, payment providers, and financial institutions, supporting global market expansion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the end-to-end customer journey for payments, ensuring simplicity, security, and efficiency.
- Manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation to implementation, ensuring alignment with Bitpanda’s short- and long-term business goals.
- Act as a thought leader within the organisation for payment-related innovations, compliance considerations, and emerging technologies.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on payments, fintech, or financial services.
- Deep understanding of international payment systems, open banking, and digital wallets.
- Passionate about the intersection of technology and finance, with a strong interest in crypto and blockchain technologies.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Skilled at working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum or LeSS.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
