We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution to offer a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional forms. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money.
We’re based in Berlin. If you're currently based elsewhere but would like to move to Germany, we’re happy to support your relocation.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
- Shape Upvest’s banking vision and strategy to establish the leading investment infrastructure in Europe, driving key initiatives such as international expansion and new business opportunities
- Play a critical role in scaling our Investment API, collaborating with senior leadership to execute strategic goals and maintain focus on becoming a category leader
- Work cross-functionally with product, operations and strategy & org to gain a deep understanding of our ecosystem, product, and clients
- Contribute to high-impact projects, gaining broad exposure across the business and shaping the future of our banking setup
- Work closely with Co-founder and Managing Director Tobias Auferoth to unite regulatory compliance with fast-paced, venture-driven growth
What you can expect from this role:
- Develop and drive the Banking Strategy: Define the overarching strategy for the banking department consisting of Legal, Compliance & Risk and manage budget allocation to ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Lead Strategic Projects: Spearhead key initiatives that are critical to achieving the long-term company/banking objectives
- Set and manage Banking OKRs: Establish and oversee banking Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to drive performance and measure success within the banking team
- Corporate governance/legal: Support and maintain robust governance practices within the company
- Regulatory support: Prepare and attend meetings with regulatory authorities and auditors
About you:
- You have several years of experience in strategy consulting with a focus on financial services or in the strategy department of a top tier financial institution / fintech
- You excel at analysing complex problems, breaking them down into actionable insights, and driving towards measurable outcomes.
- You thrive in cross-functional teams, aligning efforts toward shared goals. You are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, adapt quickly to new challenges, and are eager to take on tasks beyond your typical scope of ownership.
- You enjoy developing and articulating strategic initiatives while also diving into the details to ensure flawless execution.
- You are a fintech enthusiast, ideally have experience in the investment market and are excited to share the future of investing
