Your Opportunity:
As one of our Technical Designers, you’ll be the key architect of gameplay systems, interactive mechanics, and user-driven features within Unreal Engine. Working closely with engineers and designers, you’ll develop tools and mechanics that power streamer-audience interactions, dynamic in-game events, and social gameplay elements.
You will:
- Design and implement core gameplay systems, ensuring they are fun, scalable, and support Jitter’s unique audience-driven experience.
- Develop in-game mechanics that integrate with our Twitch Extension/Integrations, enabling seamless interaction between streamers and viewers.
- Create, refine, and optimize game logic in Unreal Engine (Blueprints & scripting), focusing on interactive elements, in-game economy, and social play.
- Prototype new ideas that push the boundaries of audience participation, iterating rapidly based on playtesting and feedback.
- Ensure smooth integration of gameplay features with Unreal Engine multiplayer systems and real-time game events.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop tools and workflows that allow for fast iteration and scalability.
- Balance and tune interactive mechanics to ensure engaging experiences across different playstyles and audience sizes.

- Unreal Engine Expertise: Strong proficiency in Blueprints, scripting, and game system design.
- Multiplayer Experience: You have experience building systems for multiplayer games, ensuring smooth and engaging player interactions.
- Twitch & Interactive Gaming Mindset: Understanding of real-time audience participation, streamer engagement, and interactive experiences.
- Systems & Gameplay Design: Experience designing and implementing gameplay loops, progression systems, and social mechanics.
- UI/UX & UMG Proficiency: Comfortable working in Unreal Motion Graphics (UMG) with a strong understanding of UI/UX design principles to create intuitive and immersive interfaces.
- Problem-Solving Mentality: Ability to prototype, troubleshoot, and optimize interactive features in a fast-moving environment.
- Adaptability & Collaboration: Comfortable working in a small team, wearing multiple hats, and collaborating across disciplines.
- Growth Mindset: You value mentorship, team development, and fostering an inclusive, creative environment.

- Knowledge of Twitch integrations, live audience mechanics, or user-generated content tools.
