As Data Privacy Manager you will ensure our global business maintains a compliant personal data protection programme that meets the expectations of our customers, regulators and other stakeholders. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment and contribute to Bullish’s growth and success.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data protection and privacy strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and complies with global data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.
- Maintain our policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure they remain effective and compliant with current laws, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs and communicate our policies effectively to raise awareness and understanding of data protection and privacy issues among employees and stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data protection regulators and data subjects, including as the nominated data protection officer where required.
- Handle DSARs in a timely and compliant way and lead the response to data privacy incidents.
- Advocate for and implement privacy considerations in the development of new products, services, business processes and systems.
- Maintain comprehensive records of data processing activities, ensure DPIAs are conducted where necessary, and ensure these are up-to-date and accessible.
- Uphold our standards for compliance, ethics and corporate governance.
Experience & Qualifications
- An established work history in data privacy having worked through multiple policy and procedure changes, with a strong understanding of global data privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing data protection strategies and managing compliance in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of information technology and data management systems including OneTrust.
- Familiarity with data protection technologies and practices, including encryption, anonymization, and data loss prevention.
- Strong risk assessment and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data protection concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in the field of data protection.
