We’re looking for a highly motivated Breaking News Researcher & Curator for X, APAC & EMEA with a passion for Bitcoin and the wider crypto ecosystem. In this role, you’ll be responsible for spotting breaking news in real-time, crafting compelling social content, and helping us deliver timely, relevant updates to our growing audience.
You will be the first line of sight for everything happening in the Bitcoin world — from major market movements to key regulatory changes. We strive to be first to break news with verified sources before competitors. Your job is to help us stay ahead of the curve by posting fast, accurately, and with context.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor global news sources, crypto X, monitoring crypto exchanges, on-chain data, and regulatory filings. or similar, and other channels to identify breaking Bitcoin (primary) and crypto (secondary) news.
- Curate, summarise, and post news updates to our social media channels quickly and accurately.
- Create visually engaging Bitcoin and crypto-related infographics (e.g., BTC trading volume vs credit cards) to educate and engage our audience.
- Collaborate with our content and design teams to plan high-impact social campaigns.
- Use data and insights to optimize the timing, tone, and format of posts.
- Help shape the editorial direction by deciding what’s worth posting and what’s not.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Native English speaker with excellent written communication skills.
- Deep interest in and understanding of Bitcoin and crypto markets.
- Asia and EU focus: Prioritise news impacting Asia-based crypto markets and EU (e.g., Korean exchanges, Japan’s policy, EU MiCA).
- Strong judgment in evaluating which news items are relevant, urgent, and impactful.
- Experience managing or contributing to social media channels (Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work in Asia timezones.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Visual flair or a good eye for design.
- Proficiency with tools like Canva, Photoshop, or Figma.
- Background in journalism, marketing, or communications.
- Experience creating memes, charts, or viral-style posts for the crypto audience.
