Role & Responsibilities
We’re hiring a Recruiter (6 Month Contract) to help us scale our rapidly growing team with a focus on filling high priority roles across the organization. This is a hands-on, full-cycle role owning all phases from the hiring process including sourcing, interviewing and closing candidates. There is an opportunity for this to become a full-time position after the contract comes to an end.
What are the role responsibilities?
- Own end-to-end recruiting for high impact, priority roles for Optimism.
- Partner closely with business leaders to calibrate on talent – move fast without sacrificing quality.
- Proactively source and engage candidates through outbound outreach, referrals, and creative channels + partner with agencies for top of funnel support.
- Run tight, thoughtful interview processes that respect candidates’ time and reflect our values.
- Manage offer processes, negotiate thoughtfully, and close top talent.
- Build strong candidate relationships and deliver a standout candidate experience.
- Keep pipelines organized and up to date in our ATS.
What skills do you bring?
- 3–6+ years of recruiting experience in a high growth, startup environment.
- Strong full-cycle recruiting chops; you’re comfortable owning roles from first outreach to signed offer.
- A scrappy, proactive sourcing mindset – you don’t wait for applicants.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and wearing multiple hats.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
- Bias toward action, speed, and continuous improvement.
