RoleOverview
WearehiringaDatacenterEngineertosupportthemissioncriticalinfrastructurethatpowersourmarkets,marketdataservices and member connectivity responsible from all aspects ofCboe’sdatacenter physical footprint. This is a hands-on roleresponsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all datacenter hardware, cabling, and supporting infrastructure across our colocation facilities.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, organized, comfortable in datacenter settings, and eager to grow within a highlyreliable,missioncriticalenvironmentandexperiencedperforminglargescaleMAC(Moves,Adds,Changes)activities.You will collaborate regularly with Engineering, Operations, and NOC teams.

Thisrolewillrequireyoutobeavailableforthefollowinglateshiftschedule,whichissubjecttochange.
This is a rotating 2ndshift position, Monday through Saturday. The role follows a 4-day, 10-hour workday, with shifts scheduled between Monday and Saturday. Standard 2ndshift hours are 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM. Additionally, this position includes Saturday as a normal workday with a day shift assignment on Saturdays, starting at 7:00 AM depending uponifyou work the front or back end of the weekly shift.

Inthisrole, youwillbe responsiblefor:
- Installandmaintainservers,networkdevices,storagesystems,andassociatedcablingandcrossconnectivity
- Performstructuredcabling(copper,MMF,SMF),includingtesting,routing,labeling,anddocumentation
- ExecutedailyMACtasksincludingequipmentinstalls,moves,andrack/cableupgrades
- Beourhandsandeyesinthedatacenterandreportanyenvironmentalissues(power,cooling,temperatures)andescalate to management and the provider
- WorkwithEngineeringandNOCteamstotroubleshoothardware,applicationandconnectivityissuesdirectlyandviaJiratickets
- Generateandmaintainequipmentinventories,rackelevations,cablemaps,anddocumentationstandards
- Respondtodatacenterincidentsincludinghardwarefailuresandcablingissues
- Supportnewequipmentrolloutsanddatacenterexpansionprojects
- Assistwithvendorcoordination,shipping/receiving,RMAs,andonsiteserviceactivities
- Supporttheongoingdevelopmentandimprovementofourglobaldatacenteroperationsstandards
- Participateinon-callcoverageandshiftrotations
- ResearchnewDataCenterinfrastructureequipmentadvancementsandrecommendchangesasneededtomanagement
- Demonstratedabilitytodeliverhigh-quality,consistent,reliableworkandastrongsenseofownershipinsupportingcriticaloperations
Theidealcandidatewillhave:
- 5+years’experienceindatacentersupportincluding:
- Racking,removing,cablingandtroubleshootingserver,storage,andnetworkequipmentincolocationenvironment
- MACworkwhichincludesinstalling/movingequipmentandcablingonalarge-scalebasis
- Thecandidatewillneedtobeproficientincableplantdesignandtroubleshooting(Copper/MMF/SMF)aswellasproficient in the industry standard testing tools
- BasicworkingknowledgeofHVAC,power,fire,buildingsecuritysystemsoperations,andsafety
- Workingknowledgeoftelecommunicationstechnologies,systems,andcircuits
- Abilitytoliftupto75lbsandworkinsidedatacenterenvironmentsforextendedperiods

Salary Ranges (applicable for US locations only)
At Cboe, we are committed to providing a competitive, transparent, and market‑informed total rewards program. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $93,500-$121,000, with actual compensation determined by job‑related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.
This role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe's long-term equity programs.
