Opportunity for Impact
TaxBit is seeking an experienced leader to serve as an International Tax Information Reporting Manager - Europe. Reporting to the VP of Tax Solutions, you will focus on our go-to-market strategy execution for laying the foundation for the continued expansion of TaxBit’s Tax Enterprise’s Information Reporting Suite across Europe. You will be responsible for, working alongside the broader go to market Europe based team , as well as the development of the product in areas such as DAC8, CARF, and CESOP.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in global information reporting in traditional finance as well as the digital asset industry. The candidate would also have extensive knowledge of the digital asset industry and technical concepts. They should have a proven track record for understanding tax technical requirements and regulations, and developing the corresponding strategy for the product development as well as formulating and enabling the go to market strategy for optimum enterprise adoption.
Role and Responsibilities
- Execute product strategies that lay the groundwork for TaxBit as the leader in information reporting in digital assets in the region for new regulatory needs such as DAC8, CARF and CESOP.
- Engage directly with our sales and business development team to execute the go to market expansion strategy, developing enablement materials and providing the necessary tax subject matter expertise training for new regulations.
- Represent TaxBit at digital asset and information reporting events, both in-person and virtual across Europe.
- Forecast opportunities based upon realistic assessments and consistently deliver against that forecast
- Engage directly with prospects, with particular focus on accelerating or expanding the largest and/or most strategic deals for TaxBit
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners, with a specific emphasis on growing that partner business and increasing high-quality lead flow
- Engage with Product and Subject Matter Expert team in the US and Europe to digest tax information reporting regulations, and assist with product development for Europe related products within Information Reporting.
Professional Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in digital assets
- 8-10 years of experience working in public accounting or industry with IRS rules, tax information reporting regulations, and guidance related to all types of tax information reporting and tax withholding
- Knowledge of processes used to satisfy IRS tax reporting requirements both in the US and Europe
- Degree in accounting or law
- CPA or JD certification
- Proficiency with Excel
- Deep understanding of the global regulatory environment as it pertains to digital assets, financial services, and/or regulatory risk
- Track record of top performance and a history of carrying and exceeding team/region/ company business goals
- Ability to understand complex technical requirements; assist in crafting solutions across multiple products
- Strong presentation, white-boarding, and communication skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
- Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment and to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints
- Strong interest in financial compliance technology and a deep understanding of the space
- Some domain expertise in tax, compliance, and/or accounting is strongly desired, though not required.
