The Data & Analytics team is hiring for a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence.
Business Intelligence Data Analysts at Cboe are tasked with providing data and analysis for stakeholders to generate insights and inform key business decisions. This requires careful attention to detail, knowledge of databases and querying, strong communication skills and ability to design reliable analysis.
Business Intelligence Data Analysts help design data sources for the Data Platform, reinforce Tableau as the source of visualizations of all types of company data, partner with business analysts for analysis and provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Design, implement, and maintain functionality for our systems that support product and business objectives and support business users in:
- Viewing and understanding volume trends and customer usage
- Understanding trading behavior
- Quantifying impact of fee changes
- Evaluating market quality
- Actively monitoring Cboe’s competitive position
- Responding to regulatory initiatives and legal questions and pilot programs
- Inform business decisions regarding new products and new functionality
- Assessing effectiveness and impact of new functionality and new products
- Collaborate with business teams in the company (Markets, Product Development, Derivatives Institute, MarComms) to provide analytics tailored to business needs.
- Work closely with the Data Platform team to create new data sources and automate analyses.
- Provide input into task and project scheduling.
The ideal candidate has:
- Commercial experience with Python programming, SQL and data analysis (in particular, pandas, jupyter etc).
- Working knowledge of Tableau or similar for data visualization.
- Experience with modelling, statistics, and analysis.
- High-level of detail orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and intellectually curious.
- Innovative problem solver with the ability to quickly identify and understand issues.
- Minimum Years of Work Experience: 2+ years.
- Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, statistics, financial engineering, data science, or a similar field.
