Pantera is hiring a Paralegal for its San Juan office. This individual will be a critical member of the Legal and Compliance team, supporting our 200+ portfolio companies across the blockchain industry. The primary function of this role will be to complete various questionnaires or Know Your Customer (KYC) requests and will assist with broader legal and compliance initiatives across the firm. This role is full time and requires presence in the office at least three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Complete and manage questionnaires and KYC requests from investors, service providers, and portfolio companies.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant legal and regulatory matters.
- Assist in the preparation of corporate governance documents and meeting minutes.
- Assist with regulatory filings and compliance matters, including the preparation of certain legal or regulatory documents.
- Participate in weekly legal and compliance team meetings and contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a legal or compliance role, preferably at a leading law firm or in the financial services industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with corporate governance and regulatory compliance preferred.
- Fluency in English. Spanish is a plus.
- Interest in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry is a plus.
