Quantitative Analytics Intern, Role Overview
Cboe Europe is looking for a summer intern to work in Execution Consulting Team. The internship will provide direct exposure to decision-makers and senior leaders on the business side. The internship offers the opportunity to be a part of a company that is growing market share in an increasingly competitive environment. This is a chance to work with a team that is passionate about continual learning, improvement and raising the bar.
Responsibilities
- Work within our Execution Consulting team to explore a particular topic of European equity market structure
- For the chosen topic, working with the support of Execution Consulting Team Leader to undertake research leveraging our data platform to identify patterns and trends
- Assist with creating analytics and researching European Equities market microstructure and create written content on findings
- Extract actionable insights from trading data to advise on Cboe Europe product strategy
- Apply quantitative methods and modeling to transaction and market data for Cboe Europe Equities business
Qualifications
- Undertaking a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Advanced knowledge working with large datasets
- Experience in Python and SQL for data analysis
- Some experience in data visualization tools (Tableau or other similar data visualization tools)
- Self-starter attitude; ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Not afraid to get stuck in tasks you’ve never done
- Able to commute to London office location regularly (hybrid work schedule)
