About FBTC
Function is building the premier infrastructure layer for making Bitcoin a productive asset across DeFi. Our core product, FBTC, is a secure, omnichain wrapper for Bitcoin that enables yield generation, lending, and DeFi composability without counterparty risk. Currently we have over $1.5B in TVL across 10 chains.
Backed by leading investors including Galaxy, Antalpha, Mirana, and Mantle, we are rapidly expanding across L2s, emerging ecosystems, and institutional partners.
The Role
We’re looking for a Product Lead to drive execution across our yield marketplace, including BTCFi primitives, DeFi integrations, and tokenized RWA expansion. You’ll own the bridge between leadership, business development, and engineering — ensuring high-leverage ideas become reality. You will be the quarterback of execution across Function’s most strategic bets.
You will work directly with the CEO, COO, and cross-functional leads to:
- Drive GTM execution of FBTC across DeFi ecosystems and institutional integrations
- Validate and execute new vault structures (DeFi, RWAs, etc.)
- Interface with key partners (CEXs, custodians, fund managers, protocols)
- Deliver roadmap clarity, speed, and precision to engineering
- Track market dynamics and ensure our product edges remain defensible
This role sits at the intersection of structured strategic thinking, fast-paced, crypto-native execution and professional institutional product management. You’ll be expected to demonstrate ownership over your domain, experiment new product ideas, and deliver results.
Responsibilities
1. Product Roadmap
- Design and manage a product roadmap to drive key product metrics and ensure asset safety. Domains include RWA, yield strategy, partner integrations, infrastructure, security monitoring.
2. Feature Release
- Lead the design, specification, and iteration of product features, such as protocol integrations, custody solutions, chain expansion, and security monitoring.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners. Translate institutional or DeFi partner feedback into buildable products.
- Serve as the connective tissue between BD, leadership, and engineering.
- Ensure requirements are documented, deadlines are clear, and accountability is enforced.
4. Go-to-Market Execution
- Partner with BD and marketing to ensure product readiness for launches.
- Track KPIs like TVL growth, integrations per quarter, product adoption velocity.
- Build reusable playbooks for deploying our products across ecosystems.
Who You Are
- Builder: Prefer 0→1 environments with ambiguity and velocity.
- DeFi knowledge: Understanding of BTCFi, cross-chain markets, and vault mechanics.
- Obsessed with throughput and traction over consensus and polish
Required Experience
- 7+ years of combined prior experience in product management roles at leading traditional financial institutions, crypto protocols, or b2c platforms.
- Experience working with major financial institutions, protocols, and exchanges.
- Strong understanding of BTCR primitives, defi vaults, and RWA/tokenization stack.
- Strong understanding of Traditional Finance, DeFi, and Risk concepts.
- Strong understanding smart contracts, chain networks, custody, and security.
- Proven track record of executing and scaling early-stage products and ability to lead strategic projects with minimal oversight.
- Comfortable writing clear docs, specs, and GTM plans.
- Native fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Bonus Points
- You’ve identified and built flywheel revenue generation opportunities.
- You’ve successfully built a product from 0 to 1, and achieved a meaningful outcome.
- You’ve built frameworks or growth loops that scaled beyond your immediate team.
- You’ve helped deliver a successful TGE for a project.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
- Clear and actionable roadmap for BTC yield and tokenized fund vaults
- Active integrations live or in motion across key partners (exchange, wallets, custodians)
- Alignment across BD, eng, and exec teams around near-term execution and long-term direction
- 1-2 validated strategic paths with documented feedback loops turned into PRDs with measurable metrics
