We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. We’re based in Berlin but would consider hiring remotely in Germany for this role. If you do want to move to Berlin though, we’re happy to support your relocation.

Team's mission:
As Upvest enters the next stage of growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and outcome-driven Head of Enterprise Sales to join us. As an Head of Enterprise Sales at Upvest, you will be instrumental in shaping our enterprise go-to-market strategy and expanding our presence in the traditional financial industry. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, sales expertise, and leadership to drive our team and product to new heights.
All our team efforts are centred around the client and give you the opportunity to work with high autonomy coupled with inspirational leadership. Working in the Growth team combines impactful work with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. We have established strong practices around feedback, team health and social events.
You will work directly with our Director of Sales Alexander Reichhardt owning the go-to-market approach as well as client relationships with the biggest financial institutions in Europe and thus directly impacting Upvest’s business trajectory.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
Enterprise GTM Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market/sales strategy that enables Upvest to expand its foothold with digital financial players
Ownership Enterprise Funnel: Own the cross-functional sales cycle until contract closing to meet or exceed your own and your team’s sales targets.
Team Leadership: Build and manage a team of Account Executives, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure an excellent sales process for our clients.
Process Improvement and Material Development: Develop compelling sales materials and pitches that communicate the Upvest value proposition effectively.
Sales Targets and Performance Tracking: Set sales team targets for the Enterprise team and develop reliable weekly, monthly, and annual sales performance and pipeline reports.
Process Improvement: Contribute to our sales enablement efforts and process improvement by sharing client insights constantly.
Job requirements:
Experience: You have 6+ years of experience in sales-related roles (ideally within investments, banking or wealth), ideally within a B2B set up and with API-based products.
Industry Exposure: You have previous experience within and strong interest into investments, securities trading and software-/infrastructure-as-a-service products (e.g., BaaS).
Leadership Skills: You have demonstrated people leadership skills, are able to communicate well with different stakeholder groups, and are not afraid to challenge assumptions internally or externally.
Negotiation Skills: Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to create trust, effectively handle objections and present compelling pitches.
Sales Methodologies: Demonstrated expertise with B2B sales methodologies, such as solution/consultative selling as well as practical application of industry best practices (e.g. MEDDPICC framework).
Project Management: Hands-on, proactive ownership of complex projects, including reliable client communication and diligent internal documentation.
Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the investment industry, its current trends and competitive landscape.
Professional Network: Strong professional network in the investment industry.
Location Preference: Preference for candidates located in Berlin and fluent in English and German (written and verbal).
