We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money.
We’re based in Berlin but are also open to hiring remotely in Germany for this role. If you're currently based elsewhere but would like to move to Germany, we’re happy to support your relocation.
Your mission:
You will be joining Upvest's Operations team and you will be assisting in the management of Upvest’s clearing and settlement processes. During your internship, you will have the chance to collaborate closely with domain teams like Brokerage, Corporate Actions & Taxes or Client Experience and company-wide stakeholders beyond Operations. You'll learn about key processes within our API-first fintech product and how to truly collaborate in a cross-functional team to reach its full potential.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
- Experience a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment and gain valuable insights into the operational procedures of a fintech company
- Assist with the day to day tasks within our operations team gaining knowledge of the middle and back office processes
- Support on key projects together with the Operations team as well as key cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Growth, Banking, and Legal)
- Manage ad-hoc analyses and research on challenges we encounter on the way to scale
Job requirements:
- You can commit to a 3 - 6-month full or part-time internship
- You're excited about fintech and are thrilled to build the financial infrastructure of tomorrow
- Relevant academic experience with a focus on Business Administration, Finance, Business Informatics, or a related field
- Relevant previous internship or work experience (e.g., Fintech, bank, broker, or similar) is a plus
- Hungry to learn and eager to grow
- You are a team player and feel energised in diverse teams
- You love to be challenged, take ownership of your work, and iterate quickly
- You are structured, equipped with very good analytical skills, and know how to solve problems by yourself
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- You're willing to relocate to Berlin (where our office is located) to experience the unique team culture at Upvest
