Our San Juan office is seeking an Accountant to assist with the family office. The ideal candidate has experience in the complete accounting cycle. Your duties will include assisting with daily accounts payable process, compiling and reviewing financial information, preparing financial paperwork, and maintaining records. You will also be required to perform general administrative tasks. The position requires presence in the office three days a week.
This position is for those who enjoy working with tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and the support of other family office tasks.

Responsibilities
- Review and record invoices from vendors
- Assists with the monthly invoicing process making sure transactions are processed in a timely manner
- Prepare bank requests and wire information
- Provide expected cash flow reports
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Review and process expense reports from employees
- Maintain records of outstanding payables
- Maintain and understand the various general ledgers for the management companies
- Preparation of quarterly financial reports, bank reconciliations and other accounting functions
- Assist with annual audits and tax return preparation
- Daily activities include journal entries in QuickBooks, bank reconciliation, understanding cash flow needs, processing payments, etc.
- Other ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field.
- Fluency in English. Spanish a plus
- 2-4 years of experience in a related field, including A/P
- Strong analytical skills
- Highly organized and able to prioritize
- Strong technical skills, particularly Excel and QuickBooks
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to roll up their sleeves and do anything and everything to get the job done
- Knowledgeable and passionate about blockchain/cryptocurrency technologies a plus
