BlockTech is a high-paced algorithmic trading firm facilitating global trading in cryptocurrency while expanding into regulated markets. We are growing like never before and we are looking for a Compliance Officer who wants to join us in this exciting scale-up phase!
What will you do?
As a Compliance Officer, you will join our Legal and Compliance team, working closely with the Head of Legal and Compliance.
Your main focus will be KYC and Trade Surveillance (market abuse monitoring), ensuring we remain compliant while embracing efficiency and innovation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
-KYC: Managing the onboarding process for new business partners and trading venues.
-Monitoring daily trade activities to detect potential market abuse.
-Fine-tuning and optimizing scenario settings in our trade surveillance system.
-Being the go-to person for all market abuse-related queries.
In addition, it would be great if you could assist on other compliance-related topics, such as:
-Designing and maintaining effective compliance controls.
-Streamlining processes to support business agility.
-Managing potential conflicts of interest.
-Monitoring personal account dealings of employees.

-1-2 years of work experience as a trade surveillance analyst or KYC analyst, preferably at an algorithmic trading firm or market maker
-A relevant academic degree
-Experience with KYC and/or Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) is required, with a strong drive to develop yourself further within these areas of expertise
-Familiarity with other financial and/or crypto regulations, such as MIFID, EMIR or MICAR, is a plus
-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
-A positive can-do attitude and a creative and solution-oriented mindset
-Willingness to commit long-term
