Role Overview
As Platform Engineer for the Block-Engine team you will be responsible for developing and maintaining core pieces of the system including testing infra, CI/CD pipeline, hardware provisioning etc. This role sits at the intersection of the core technology and the customers. The Block-Engine is key infrastructure for the Solana network and this role is critical to make sure the system is running the highest quality code and to catch bugs earlier in the process.
Key Responsibilities
-Design and implement valuable testing infrastructure i.e. traffic replay, load testers, E2E functional tests and more
-Be the glue between engineers and customers with continuous feedback on the product’s quality
-Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for block engine performance
-Dig up data (we have a lot of this) to use as KPIs and P0 metrics for the Block-Engine as we ship large, new features

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with validator operations
- Knowledge of MEV concepts
- Previous work on blockchain infrastructure projects
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience with real-time trading or financial systems
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of strong experience any of the following: Rust, C or C++
- Deep understanding of distributed systems
- Experience with high-performance computing and low-latency systems
- Comfortable working on Unix based systems
- Experience with monitoring tools and observability platforms
