About The Opportunity
This role focuses on trade surveillance system optimisation, offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of market surveillance, protecting the integrity of financial markets by detecting insider trading and market manipulation. You'll fine-tune and optimize surveillance systems, leverage data analytics to uncover risks, and collaborate with teams across compliance, risk, product, and engineering. With direct involvement in shaping surveillance strategies and working with cutting-edge tools, you’ll play a key role in enhancing regulatory compliance and safeguarding market transparency.
What You'll be Doing
- Test and fine-tune parameters and thresholds for new and existing surveillance models.
- Evaluate market abuse risks for new products and ensure appropriate surveillance coverage.
- Collaborate with vendors to optimize surveillance performance and resolve issues.
- Assist to maintain and manage the surveillance inventory.

Monitor market surveillance activity via industry leading tools and platforms.

Act as a subject matter expert in the performance of Market Surveillance.

Strong regulatory knowledge and experience with US AML regulatory requirements for financial institutions and an understanding of their impact on Market Surveillance.

Carry out market surveillance with the aim of finding and reporting on attempts by clients to engage in insider dealing or market manipulation across a range of market abuse typologies.

Leverage data sets and analytical skills to enhance research and investigations, ensuring both quantitative and qualitative analysis is incorporated into decision making.

Collaborate across compliance, risk, product, engineering, data science, marketing, business development, finance and our customers to help build and continuously improve the data and reporting
What We Look For in You

Demonstrable experience with trade surveillance platforms, including BAU investigations, alert parameter optimization, and detection logic improvement.

Deep understanding of trading mechanisms, order book dynamics, and market manipulation tactics (e.g., spoofing, layering, wash trading).

Education in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

At least 4+ years of direct experience in market surveillance or trade surveillance.

Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity.

Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities simultaneously.

OKX Statement
The salary range for this position $92,426 to $126,713. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
